Do you offer furnace and AC repair in Portland?
Yes. Tranquility Heating and Cooling provides furnace repair, air conditioner repair and heat pump diagnostics in Portland and nearby Oregon communities. Diagnostic visits are $150 if you do not proceed with a repair. The diagnostic is included in the approved repair total. Repairs are quoted before work begins. Book online and save $50 on approved repairs of $300 or more.
Heat pump or gas furnace: which is right for my home?
A heat pump provides both heating and cooling using electricity. A gas furnace provides heat, with separate AC for cooling. We review your existing equipment, ductwork and comfort needs when comparing heat pump installation, furnace replacement or a dual-fuel system.
Can you install a ductless mini-split without existing ducts?
Yes. Ductless mini-splits use indoor units to condition individual rooms or zones without a central duct system. We offer Daikin ductless installation and review room layout and equipment placement before recommending a system.
What does HVAC maintenance include?
Preventive maintenance includes operating checks, airflow review, accessible component and drain inspections, routine outdoor coil washing for covered outdoor equipment, and a written condition report. Ductless service includes cleaning reusable indoor filters. Comfort Club visits include a standard replacement air filter and installation; specialty filters are priced separately. Comfort Club includes one annual maintenance visit covering your selected system(s). Repairs, replacement parts, specialty filters and deep cleaning are separate.
Can you install a smart thermostat on my existing HVAC system?
We offer smart thermostat installation and check equipment compatibility and wiring first. Heat pumps, dual-fuel systems and communicating equipment may require specific controls. Tell us your current thermostat and equipment models when requesting service.
Can HVAC filters and ventilation help indoor air quality?
Appropriate filtration and ventilation can help improve indoor air quality. We review filter options and ventilation needs for your HVAC system. Air cleaning alone does not remove every pollutant or replace addressing pollution sources.
Are heat pump incentives and HVAC financing available?
Qualifying projects may be eligible for Energy Trust of Oregon or Oregon HP3 incentives. Eligibility, funding and equipment requirements apply. We are an Energy Trust Trade Ally and HP3 contractor. Wisetack financing is available for qualifying projects, subject to approval and terms.
Do you handle HVAC for new construction?
Yes. We install heating and cooling equipment and ductwork for new construction in the Portland area. Send your plans or project details so we can review the scope and schedule.

We may be able to help. Send the brand, model numbers and full service address so we can review your installation project. Equipment compatibility and site conditions must be reviewed before we accept the work.
